Experience: Mission
A survey of "10,896 young adults aged 18 to 25 in 22 countries around the world and they asked the same question, 'What are the issues that are keeping you awake at night? What are the things you think are the most critical for us to face as a world? The number one issue for them was climate change.”

Churches to provide EV charging stations

Thanks to a new agreement between the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference and Charge Enterprises Inc., the more than 600 churches in the conference could be getting EV charging stations.
Global Ministries EarthKeepers is a training and incubator program that provides a collaborative space for United Methodists to develop and grow environmental projects in their communities. Topics include eco-theology, antiracism, community organizing and project planning. All participants plan a project during the training.
Like our National Park system, Texas is also looking for volunteers to help partner with on area projects. By working with Texas Parks & Wildlife and Texas Game Wardens, the church becomes an active presence of God's love in the life of the larger community. Why not have a church retreat at a state park?

"Scientific advances in agricultural and life sciences improve the well-being of Texas people, lands and businesses in meaningful and impactful ways. Find out how to bring these advances to your area of Texas."
Each county has a county Ag Extension Agent. Churches can partner with the Extension Agent to encourage community gardens and Master Gardener training, support the 4H, and work with rural communities.
The National Park system is looking for volunteers to help partner with on area projects. This would be a great trip not only for the church but for others interested in National Parks.
Sierra Club: Lone Star Chapter

The Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter is the oldest grassroots environmental organization in Texas. We believe our open spaces, clean water, and natural resources should be protected so that current and future generations may enjoy them. In addition to our state chapter office in Austin, we have several regional groups in Texas that provide wonderful opportunities to explore, enjoy, and protect the state’s natural wonders.
